It’s Antoinette Ferwerda and I’d like to share with you my Gossamer art story, which is inspired by Brutalist architecture.

When I imagine Brutalist architectural buildings, I think of them as minimalist with bare building materials including concrete and brick. 

So, I wanted to reimagine and explore Brutalist structures made from glass instead of opaque building materials.

My Gossamer artworks have a challenge and optically ask the viewer to virtually walk through planes of glass, providing a three-dimensional effect.
