Jardin – Inspired by Parisian Gardens

Antoinette Ferwerda Gallery is proud to release Jardin, an exhibition of new artworks inspired by the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. In the warm autumn days of September in 2022, Antoinette travelled to France, immersing herself in Parisian life whilst staying in Saint Germain des Pres. Her daily walks through her local surrounds led her to the Tuileries Gardens, located between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.  The gardens offered open spaces and quiet moments to sit and observe people, nature and the wide, open sky set against the ornamental and palatial architecture. Jardin is a celebration of the beauty of the Tuileries Gardens.  A vibrant and fresh body of new works pays homage to flowers and foliage, where Mother Nature’s rich colours and textures are preserved forever in glorious paletteswithin luminous paintings.
