Sandscape

124cm x 124cm

Synthetic polymer paint, ink and collage on canvas

Framed in natural oak

This is a unique, original painting.

This work evokes a layered landscape through sweeping, gestural marks in warm ochres, soft creams, and deep charcoal tones. Horizontal bands move across the composition, suggesting shifting terrain or distant horizons, while translucent overlays add depth and softness. The balance between fluid brushwork and structured layering creates a gentle rhythm, guiding the eye across the surface. There is a quiet tension between light and shadow, giving the piece a grounded yet atmospheric presence. The mood is calm and reflective, capturing a sense of stillness, memory, and connection to the natural world.
