THE FLOREY INSTITUTE

Antoinette Ferwerda is honoured to partner with The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health as a creative ambassador, supporting its world-leading research into brain health and neurological disease.

Drawing on her longstanding fascination with the human brain, informed by an early career in science before becoming a full-time artist, Antoinette has created a monumental original work titled Dreamscape.

Through this contribution, the artist and creative ambassador has united her passions for art, science and philanthropy, helping raise awareness and support for the groundbreaking work undertaken by The Florey Institute.

Dreamscape was created over many months and is the result of an exceptionally meticulous and labour-intensive process.  A vibrant palette of turquoise, cobalt, sapphire, emerald and violet flows across the canvas, evoking both electrical energy and the ethereal quality of the dream state. These rich colours are interwoven with fine details rendered in precious Japanese gold ink, which catches and reflects light as the viewer moves around the work.

Dreamscape is seeking a space to call home, with 100% of the purchase proceeds directed to advancing neuroscience research and brain health initiatives for the Florey Institute.
