Masked explores a reimagining of the human face as the shadow of the child within the artist. Sketching in paint, oil pastel and layering hand-torn paper with rich, bold inks to capture the gaze of the viewer, the human body is represented as a sculpture. Masked makes a dramatic design statement and metaphorically references the human form as a vessel housing the creative freedom of the artist’s subconscious.
