An exploration of transparency and form, Neon Study I reimagines architectural structure through Antoinette Ferwerda’s signature collage technique. In this work, softly rounded, capsule-like shapes overlap in veils of ochre, and pale blue, their surfaces brushed with luminous white bands that glow like diffused neon light.
Inspired by her 1930s Art Deco apartment, Ferwerda constructs translucent, forms that suggest quiet strength and dimensionality.
