It’s Antoinette Ferwerda and I’d like to share with you my Iris art story, which is inspired by the Iris flower.

I’ve always been intrigued by the shape of the Iris, and after a dream I had one morning, I went into the studio and painted the very first Iris and these are continuing to evolve.

This art story is moody and the deep blue and rich purple and almost black shades of the Iris petals are an evolution of my Botanical art stories.
